The Berlin filling station operator LIQUIND 24/7 is consistently expanding its network of LNG locations at the moment. The eighth large filling station was recently put into operation in Duisburg’s Parallelhafen. The LNG filling station has already started test operations. “There is a 24-hour presence of Liquind staff being on site in shifts to instruct and support the drivers,” emphasizes Philip Maximilian Braunschweig, Head of Sales and Corporate Development at Liquind 24/7. From November onward, the regular 24/7 operations will be running around the clock. Billing takes place either via Liquind tank tokens or DKV. At the same time, the company announced the development of “at least seven more locations this year”. Facilities are planned in Hockenheim, Karlsruhe, Hamburg, Göttingen, Lorch and, last but not least, Mannheim, Liquind 24/7’s second major port location. In addition to the 15 filling stations planned by the end of 2020, the operator wants to “open another ten to 15 locations” in the coming year.

The large filling station in the port of Duisburg will initially be available for trucks. Two LNG dispensers are available to reduce waiting times. The generous system also offers a lot of space to avoid time-consuming maneuvering. At the end of the year, a refueling facility for inland vessels is planned at the location in Duisburg’s Parallelhafen. “By jointly supplying trucks and barges with LNG, we are implementing the original Liquind concept in Duisburg,” explains Christian Schneider, Managing Director of Liquind 24/7.
