Berlin, September 2020: Since September, the Berlin filling station operator LIQUIND has operated a large truck filling station in Duisburg’s Prallelhafen. Two LNG dispensers are available to reduce waiting times. The large-scaled facility also offers a lot of space to avoid time-consuming maneuvering. The filling station will also have a refueling facility for inland vessels at the end of the year.
“With the Duisburg facility, we are implementing LIQUIND’s original concept, the joint supply of trucks and inland vessels with LNG”, says Christian Schneider, Managing Director of LIQUIND 24/7.
“From now on, our customers can use the test-phase LNG filling station in the Parallelhafen. LIQUIND staff is on site in 24-hour shifts to instruct and support the drivers,”adds Philip Maximilian Braunschweig, Head of Sales and Corporate Development.
LIQUIND 24/7 currently has eight of its own LNG filling stations in operation. This year the Berlin-based company will develop at least seven more locations: Hockenheim, Karlsruhe, Hamburg, Göttingen, Lorch and, last but not least, Mannheim, LIQUIND’s second large port location.
At the end of 2020, the company will offer its customers LNG-fuel in 15 different locations. Another 10-15 locations will open in 2021.
